Fluvinex (Tau-fluvalinate) 10 strips - certified strips against Varroa mites.

Pharmacological properties: ATCvet QP53AC10, pyrethroid group, fluvalinates, acaricides. The active ingredient of the acaricidal drug is a pyrethroid - taufluvalinate. The pharmacological action of the drug is a pronounced contact acaricide of prolonged action, which has a detrimental effect on the nervous system of Varroa mites. The mechanism of action of tau-fluvalinate is to block the transmission of nerve impulses, which leads to impaired coordination of movements, paralysis and death of mites. The effectiveness of the drug is 96-99%. The active substance taufluvalinate belongs to the group of low-toxic substances (hazard class 3) for warm-blooded animals and bees (LD50 260-280 mg/kg), does not have a skin-resorptive, locally irritating or sensitizing effect. Under the recommended conditions of use, residues of the drug do not accumulate in honey, bee bread and wax and do not exceed the permissible limits.

The package must be opened immediately before use. The drug is placed in the central zone of the bee nest, where the largest number of young bees is usually concentrated. The strips are fixed vertically with a transverse pin (included in the kit) in the inter-frame space so that the bees can move on both sides of the strip.

Spring treatment is carried out after the flight, when there is still an insignificant number of larvae and pupae in the bee colonies (usually the treatment period is March-early April);

Summer-autumn treatment is carried out immediately after the commercial honey of the main honey flow has been extracted, when the queen begins intensively laying eggs in the vacated combs, and most of the female mites are on the worker bees (usually the treatment period is August-September).

Dosage: the doses of the preparation depend on the strength of the bee colony. In the spring, for bee colonies with normal development, which occupy 8-12 standard frames, use 2 strips of the preparation. For weakened bee colonies, occupying 6 frames or less, use 1 strip of the preparation. In the summer, for bee colonies kept in multi-hull hives, use 2 strips of the preparation for each body (10-12 frames); for bee colonies kept in sunbeds (20-24 frames), use 4 strips per family. For divisions occupying 6 or more frames, use 1 strip of the preparation.

The period of stay of the strips in the bee nest during treatment should be no less than 15, but no more than 45 days.

To diagnose the disease of bees with varroatosis, before treatment, the bottom of the hive is covered with a clean sheet of paper or polyethylene film, greased with oil or petroleum jelly. The period of stay of the strips of the preparation should be no less than four days, after which the bottom inserts are checked for the presence of dead mites.

Contraindications: with proper use and dosage, side effects are not recorded. The drug is prohibited to use during the main honey flow and 30 days before its start, as well as during the winter dormancy period.

Caution: do not use during the honey flow. 30 days before the start of the honey flow, the strips must be removed from the hive. Do not use the strips during the winter dormancy period. Treatment should be carried out provided that the air temperature is not lower than +10 ° C. For weakened bee colonies and divisions, use no more than one strip per bee colony. It is not allowed to use honey for food purposes collected during the treatment period with the preparation. The strips are suitable for single use only.

Before using the preparation, it is recommended to check the reaction of bees to the active substances on one or several bee colonies. If no changes in behavior are registered in the bees after a day, the entire apiary is treated.

Special reservations for persons and service personnel: personnel working with the preparation must comply with the general rules of personal hygiene and safety adopted when working with veterinary drugs. Smoking, drinking and eating are prohibited during work. After finishing work, hands and face should be thoroughly washed with soap.

Composition: one strip contains the active substance taufluvalinate 80 mg and excipients. Strips of wooden veneer 290 (±10) mm long, 25 (±3) mm wide, 0.6 (±0.1) mm thick.

Number of strips in a package: 10 pcs.
